SoleFiori Successfully Launches High-Efficiency Heterojunction Modules, Entering Production Phase

On December 28th, the first high-efficiency photovoltaic module of the SoleFiori Heterojunction Project officially rolled off the production line at its manufacturing base in Futan Industrial Park, Doumen, Zhuhai. A ceremony was held to mark this significant milestone.

 

 

Since the installation of equipment last month, SoleFiori has successfully completed the rigorous installation and commissioning process, culminating in the production of its first high-efficiency heterojunction solar module. This achievement marks SoleFiori's official entry into full-scale production. SoleFiori actively responds to Zhuhai's 'Industry First' strategy, achieving the goal of signing, producing, and generating sales revenue in the same year. SoleFiori's modules also represent the first heterojunction components produced in Zhuhai and Guangdong Province, addressing the region's gap in N-type heterojunction photovoltaic components.

 

The SoleFiori Heterojunction Project in Zhuhai, with a total investment of approximately 6.3 billion RMB, is a cornerstone industrial project jointly established by Zhuhai Fuhong Renewable Energy, Primavera Capital, Gree Group, and Doumen District State-owned Assets. This project is equipped with the capacity to produce 8 GW of high-efficiency solar cell wafers and 5 GW of modules annually. Spanning approximately 300 acres of land, the project features a total construction area of around 300,000 square meters. The factory, with an investment of approximately 1.4 billion RMB from Gree Group, was customized and completed within 198 days from the groundbreaking in early Q2 of this year, including the preliminary construction and equipment installation.

 

Gree Group, in collaboration with Primavera Capital and Doumen District State-owned Assets, has jointly invested in establishing SoleFiori Technology Company, the core entity behind the SoleFiori Heterojunction Project. This strategic investment not only supports Guangdong SoleFiori in securing consortium loans but also provides substantial financial backing for the project's development. This initiative facilitates a seamless transition from land acquisition approval to groundbreaking, leveraging precise support policies from Doumen District.

Highly automated assembly line equipment, including stringers, layup machines, and laminators, work in seamless coordination, ensuring a smooth production process. SoleFiori's smart factory boasts the fastest single-line design cycle in the heterojunction field.

 

During the initial planning phase of the module production line, SoleFiori's manufacturing team meticulously designed the layout and scientifically optimized the production processes. The design also includes provisions for future stacking technologies such as rear-contact and perovskite, integrating cost reduction and efficiency enhancement concepts into the production line. This achievement signifies a breakthrough in high-volume production efficiency, setting new standards for photovoltaic module manufacturing.

The modules have passed rigorous tests by TÜV SÜD (Southern Germany) and obtained certifications including IEC and CE.
