On February 28, 2024, Deputy Director Chen Lei of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology led a delegation to Zhuhai. They visited and inspected SoleFiori's heterojunction project located in the Futan Industrial Park, touring the project site and module production workshop. Dr. Jiang Qingtang, Chief Scientist and Board Director at SoleFiori, along with Mr. Hou Hongtao, Vice President of Technology, warmly welcomed the delegation.

During the visit, Dr. Jiang briefed Deputy Director Chen and his delegation on the advanced heterojunction technology roadmap, as well as the progress, production capacity, market expansion, and employment situation of SoleFiori's project. The SoleFiori heterojunction project commenced in April 2023 and achieved the milestone of producing its first module product by the end of the year, meeting the ambitious goal of attracting investment and starting production within the same year. It has been designated as a key provincial project for 2024. During the Chinese New Year period this year, the SoleFiori production team successfully ensured orderly and safe production through coordinated resource supply and management measures.

Deputy Director Chen Lei highly praised and commended the progress of the SoleFiori project, expressing full support from the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. In January, Guangdong Province issued the 'Notice on Cultivating Strategic Emerging Industry Clusters in New Energy in Guangdong Province (2023-2025)', vigorously supporting the production of high-efficiency crystalline silicon solar cells such as HJT cells. Concurrently, supportive upstream and downstream industries will be established in the surrounding areas of Zhuhai to form a complete industrial chain, thereby promoting the comprehensive upgrade of Guangdong's photovoltaic industry.

The successful progress of this research visit has not only strengthened the cooperation and exchange between the provincial government and SoleFiori but also injected new momentum into the innovation and development of manufacturing and photovoltaic industries. It marks the beginning of a new chapter for the high-quality development of Guangdong Province's economy.
