Solefiori Secures Patent for Innovative Welding Abnormality Detection Device, Enhancing Quality and Efficiency in Solar Module Production

On October 25, 2024, the National Intellectual Property Administration (NIPA) released information confirming that Solefiori Technology Company (hereinafter "Solefiori") successfully obtained a patent for a "Module Production Abnormality Detection Device." The solution proposed by this patent aims to address the challenges of abnormal detection during the welding process, enhancing both welding quality and efficiency.

 

Amid the photovoltaic industry's focus on reducing costs and improving efficiency, the 0BB (no busbar) cell technology has gradually become the mainstream for research and mass production. The development of this technology has led to a rapid reduction in the diameter of welding ribbons, which in turn reduces the contact area during the EL inspection after welding. This presents higher demands for effective identification during the welding process, making it a key concern in the industry.

 

After in-depth research, Solefiori's technical team introduced an innovative "Intelligent Rapid Abnormality Detection Device" for welding machines. This device integrates automation detection systems, data monitoring, welding point quality detection, and automatic feedback adjustment technologies. It effectively enhances the recognition capability during the welding process, ensuring that welding quality and efficiency are maintained even with the reduced ribbon diameter.

 

The patent includes a technical solution comprising a solar cell welding machine and its associated modules such as the material discharge conveyor, position sensors, L-shaped support frame, and EL testing unit camera. The device can quickly identify welding defects after completion, effectively addressing the challenges brought by faster welding speeds, thinner cells, and smaller welding ribbon diameters, thus ensuring product quality.

 

Solefiori’s new patent significantly improves product yield and greatly enhances the manufacturing efficiency of heterojunction solar modules, ensuring higher quality and more durable products, providing strong support for sustainable development.
